Micro-LAM Welcomes Tatiana Stepanova as the newest member of our Innovations team. With a robust educational background and diverse professional experience in Materials Science, Tatiana joins us as an Innovations Engineer, poised to drive forward our advancements in technology and manufacturing.
Tatiana has a rich academic foundation, holding a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Physics and Mathematics from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, a Master’s in Materials Science and Engineering, and a Ph.D. in Automotive Engineering from Clemson University. Her focus during her doctoral studies was on Materials and Manufacturing, making her a perfect fit for addressing the complex challenges we tackle daily at Micro-LAM.
In discussing her new role, Tatiana shared, “As our team continues to grow and the pace of technological advancement accelerates, I anticipate taking on a greater leadership role in guiding innovation strategy and overseeing larger, more complex projects.” This statement highlights her readiness to contribute to and evolve with our team as we explore new horizons in machining technology.
Upon joining Micro-LAM, Tatiana was particularly impressed by the company’s integration of cutting-edge research with practical application, a critical factor in her decision to join our team. She was struck by the strong emphasis on continuous learning and improvement, creating an environment where innovative work is not only encouraged but expected.
Tatiana is currently focusing on a project that involves developing new processes for laser-assisted machining of hard-to-machine materials. This initiative aligns with her expertise and passion for merging material science with advanced manufacturing technologies.
