Welcome to the Team: Mike Tanniru Joins as
Senior Director, Commercial Business
We’re excited to welcome Mike Tanniru to Micro-LAM and 603 OPTX as our new Senior Director of Commercial Business. Mike brings a wealth of experience leading high-tech, customer-focused businesses, and he joins us at a pivotal moment as we align with IDEX Corporation.
In the coming months, Mike will focus on driving value for our customers and helping guide the integration of Micro-LAM’s commercial operations into IDEX. “I will be focused on creating value for our customers by continuing Micro-LAM’s long history of market-driven innovation,” Mike says. “I’ll also focus on integrating Micro-LAM commercial operations into the IDEX organization and capturing synergies that exist between the two businesses.”
Mike’s background includes years of leadership in advanced manufacturing and technology organizations. He’s spent much of his career solving complex customer challenges, building strong teams, and launching innovative products. That broad perspective gives him a unique approach to leading commercial strategy in an ultra-precision environment like ours.
“I was drawn to the Micro-LAM team because I have always been passionate about the optics industry,” he says. “Micro-LAM’s history of providing innovative solutions to their customers’ challenges is uniquely aligned with my experience.”
Mike’s first-year focus is on growth—both within our team and in identifying new opportunities to bring Micro-LAM’s capabilities to customers who need them.
When he’s not working, you’ll find Mike running half marathons (his favorite is the Clarence DeMar in Keene), cheering on his daughter Halle in softball, supporting his son Lars in ski racing, or hiking New Hampshire’s 4,000-foot peaks with his wife Marcy.
