Micro-LAM’s patented laser-assisted diamond turning technology boosts productivity, increases tool life, creates better surface finish (roughness), and better surface irregularity (form). This technology enables us to produce custom optics in a variety of geometries — spheres, aspheres, and freeforms. Perhaps most exciting, we now have techniques for laser-assisted machining of materials that cannot be conventionally diamond turned, including glass optics.
